Quick verdict

Hostinger is one of the best-value web hosts you can buy in 2026. It is cheap, easy to use and well equipped for WordPress, with free extras like a domain, SSL, CDN and migration. The trade-offs are steep renewal prices, long upfront terms for the best deals and no phone support. For a first website, blog or small business site, it is hard to beat.

Black Friday deal: Hostinger’s sale cuts web hosting by up to 82% until December 14, 2026: Premium $2.49/mo, Unlimited $3.49/mo and Cloud Startup $7.99/mo on a 48-month plan, no coupon needed. See the deal details.

Hostinger has grown into one of the biggest names in web hosting by pairing very low prices with a modern dashboard and solid WordPress features. But cheap hosting always has catches, and Hostinger is no exception. In this review we break down its plans, what you really pay after the first term, what you get, and who should (and should not) use it.

Hostinger plans and pricing

Hostinger’s main web hosting lineup has three tiers. Prices below are the introductory rates on a 48-month term, which is how Hostinger advertises them.

PlanIntro priceRenews atWebsitesStorageBackupsEmail
Premium$2.99/mo$10.99/mo320 GB SSDWeekly2 mailboxes per site
Unlimited$3.99/mo$16.99/moUnlimited50 GB NVMeDailyUnlimited
Cloud Startup$7.99/mo$25.99/moUnlimited100 GB NVMeDaily + on demandIncluded

Prices in US dollars on a 48-month term, excluding tax, as reported in autumn 2026. Shorter terms cost more per month. Check Hostinger’s site for current deals.

All three plans include a free domain for the first year, free SSL certificates, free website migration, a CDN, staging, SSH and WP-CLI access, and malware scanning. Cloud Startup adds more resources (4 GB of RAM and 4 CPU cores versus 2 GB and 1 core on Premium) and a dedicated IP address, which makes it a good fit for busier sites and small online stores.

Which plan should you pick?

  • Premium: fine for one to three small sites, such as a blog or portfolio. The weekly backups are the main weakness.
  • Unlimited: the sweet spot for most people. Daily backups, unlimited sites and email, and more resources for only about a dollar more a month at intro pricing.
  • Cloud Startup: for busier sites, WooCommerce stores and anyone who wants more headroom without managing a VPS.

Hostinger also sells self-managed VPS plans, agency plans and a website builder, but for most readers one of the three plans above is the right choice.

Renewal prices: the big catch

Like nearly every budget host, Hostinger’s low prices only apply to your first term. When you renew, the price rises to roughly 3.3 to 4.3 times the introductory rate. A Premium plan that starts at $2.99 a month renews at about $10.99.

The best way to handle this is to choose a term you are comfortable committing to upfront. The intro price applies to the whole term, so a 48-month plan locks in the low rate for four years. Just remember that the full amount is paid at checkout (for example, about $144 for 48 months of Premium).

PlanPaid upfront (48 months)Then per month at renewal
Premiumabout $144about $10.99
Unlimitedabout $192about $16.99
Cloud Startupabout $384about $25.99

Key features

hPanel control panel

Instead of cPanel, Hostinger uses its own hPanel. It is clean, fast and beginner-friendly, grouping domains, DNS, email, databases, backups and SSL in one place, with a one-click WordPress installer. If you are used to cPanel it takes a little adjustment, and it is not portable if you later move to a cPanel host.

Free extras

Every plan includes free SSL, a CDN, free website migration and a free domain for the first year. Free mailboxes are included too (limited on Premium). These extras add real value compared with hosts that charge separately for them.

Security

Hostinger includes automatic SSL, malware scanning and removal, and tools to block specific IP addresses or countries. Backups run weekly on Premium and daily on higher plans.

Data centers

Hostinger has data centers in North America, Europe (including the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Lithuania), Asia (including India, Indonesia and Malaysia) and South America (Brazil). Pick the one closest to most of your visitors when you set up your site.

Hostinger for WordPress

WordPress is where Hostinger shines. It installs in one click, updates can run automatically, and hosting runs on LiteSpeed servers with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, which handles caching and image optimization for you. Staging is available so you can test changes safely, and the dashboard includes WordPress-specific tools for common tasks.

For a typical WordPress blog or business site, this combination delivers good speed with almost no setup. For a busy WooCommerce store, choose Cloud Startup or consider a managed host; see our guide to the best WordPress hosting.

Performance

Hostinger guarantees 99.9% uptime. Independent tests published in 2026 have reported strong results, including 100% uptime over the test period and a server response time of around a quarter of a second, which is competitive with hosts that cost much more.

In practice, a cached WordPress site on Hostinger should load quickly for most visitors, especially if you choose a nearby data center and keep the CDN switched on.

Customer support

Support is available 24/7 through live chat and email in many languages, with priority support on the Unlimited plan and above. There is no phone support, and Hostinger does not publish guaranteed response times. An AI assistant handles many simple questions before you reach a human.

Money-back guarantee

Hosting plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Read the fine print: free domains are not refundable (Hostinger may deduct the domain’s cost from your refund), most country-code domains are non-refundable, and payments made with cryptocurrency cannot be refunded.

Downsides to know about

  • Renewal prices are several times the intro price.
  • The best deals require a 48-month prepay.
  • Weekly backups on the Premium plan. Use a backup plugin or choose Unlimited.
  • No phone support and no published response times.
  • hPanel instead of cPanel, which some experienced users prefer.
  • Account suspensions: some users report suspensions following abuse or phishing reports, with slow appeals. Keep your own backups as a precaution with any host.

Who Hostinger is for

Hostinger is a great fit for: first websites, blogs, portfolios, small business sites, side projects, and agencies managing many low-traffic client sites.

Look elsewhere if: you run a revenue-critical store and want proactive managed support, you need phone support, you rely on cPanel, or you expect to outgrow a mid-size server quickly.

Hostinger alternatives

  • SiteGround: better support and daily backups on every plan, at a higher price. See our SiteGround notes.
  • DreamHost: fairer long-term pricing and a 97-day money-back guarantee.
  • Namecheap: the lowest renewal prices if total cost matters most.
  • Kinsta or Rocket.net: premium managed WordPress hosting for business-critical sites.

Our verdict

Hostinger is our top budget pick in 2026. It offers excellent value, strong WordPress performance and a beginner-friendly dashboard. Choose the Unlimited plan for daily backups, lock in a long term to delay the renewal jump, and keep your own backups.
