The short version

AccuWebHosting’s Linux VPS plans give you a lot of server for the money: 4 GB of RAM, a dedicated vCPU and 50 GB of NVMe storage for $4.95 a month on the entry plan, plus full root access, free migration, DDoS protection and 16+ data center locations at no extra cost. The catches are the usual VPS ones and then some: prices roughly double to quadruple at renewal, the money-back window is only 7 days, and the server is self-managed unless you pay for help. It’s a strong value pick for developers, agencies and anyone outgrowing shared hosting who is comfortable running a server.

Shared hosting is fine until it isn’t. Once your site gets busier, you run a store with lots of plugins, or you want to run your own apps, you need guaranteed resources of your own. That’s what a VPS (virtual private server) gives you: a slice of a powerful server with dedicated CPU and memory that other customers can’t eat into.

AccuWebHosting is one of the longer-running names in VPS hosting, and its Linux VPS plans are priced aggressively. Here’s what you get, what it really costs after the first term, and who it’s a good fit for.

Who is AccuWebHosting?

AccuWebHosting (AccuWeb Hosting) has been in the hosting business for more than 23 years. It sells shared, WordPress, reseller and dedicated hosting, but VPS is its core product: it offers both Linux and Windows VPS, and is well known among traders for its Forex VPS plans. The company says it has deployed and managed more than 100,000 VPS servers and over a million websites.

Reviews from customers tend to focus on the same thing: support. Its Trustpilot rating, shown on its own site, is 4.5 out of 5, and many reviewers mention fast, helpful responses from technicians. That matters more on a VPS than on shared hosting, because when something breaks, it’s often on you to fix it.

Plans and pricing

There are four Linux VPS plans. Every plan includes one dedicated IP address and lets you host as many websites as the server can handle.

Prices in US dollars from AccuWebHosting’s Linux VPS page, checked November 2, 2026, for the New York location. The intro price is applied with a promo code at checkout and covers your first billing term only. AccuWebHosting shows the same intro price on monthly, 1-year and 2-year billing, so check the total in your cart before you pay. Choosing a different data center costs nothing extra.

The intro prices are excellent. $4.95 a month for 4 GB of RAM is cheaper than many hosts charge for 1 or 2 GB. But look closely at the renewal column. On a 2-year term, the Edge plan renews at about twice its intro price, Peak at nearly three times, and Power and Supreme at four times. Here’s the Peak plan as an example:

  • First 2 years at $6.95/mo: about $167
  • Next 2 years at $19.99/mo: about $480

Renewing on monthly billing costs even more. If you’re happy with the service, the 2-year term gives the lowest renewal price. It’s worth putting a reminder in your calendar a month before renewal so the price change doesn’t surprise you.

Hardware and specs

SpecWhat you get
CPUAMD EPYC and Intel Xeon Scalable processors, with dedicated vCPUs (no overselling)
MemoryECC DDR4/DDR5 RAM, guaranteed
StorageNVMe/enterprise SSD drives in hardware RAID 6 or RAID 10
VirtualizationKVM (with SolusVM) and Xen
Network1 Gbps port; DDoS mitigation up to 5 Gbps
Operating systemsUbuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux
AccessFull root via SSH, plus a VNC console and easy OS reinstalls
Uptime guarantee99.9%

These are solid, modern specs. Dedicated vCPUs and guaranteed RAM are the main reason to pick a VPS over shared hosting, and AccuWebHosting says it never oversells them. RAID storage means a single failed drive won’t take your server down.

The RAM on each plan stands out. Most budget VPS hosts give you 1 to 2 GB on their entry plan. AccuWebHosting gives you 4 GB, which is enough for several WordPress sites or a small store. The trade-off is CPU: the entry plan has a single vCPU, so busy sites or heavy apps will be happier on Peak or above. Bandwidth is capped too, starting at 250 GB a month, which is plenty for most small sites but worth watching if you serve lots of video or large downloads.

Features

  • Free control panel setup. AccuWebHosting will install a free panel such as CyberPanel, aaPanel, Webmin, CWP, ISPConfig or FastPanel. cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin and others are available as paid add-ons.
  • LiteSpeed option. You can choose LiteSpeed when ordering, which is great for WordPress speed.
  • Free migration. Its team will move your existing sites for you.
  • Backups. Free backups are included in Denver, New York, Hyderabad and Frankfurt. Daily backups are a paid add-on and available in every location.
  • Security. 24/7 monitoring, DDoS protection, isolated VPS environments and a customizable firewall.
  • Easy upgrades. Move to a bigger plan when you need to, keeping your data and IP address.
  • No setup fees and unlimited websites on every plan.
  • App hosting. It has guides and ready setups for WordPress, Node.js, Odoo, Nextcloud and Rocket.Chat.

Data center locations

AccuWebHosting lists more than 16 locations, and you can pick any of them for the same price. Choose the one closest to most of your visitors.

RegionLocations
North AmericaNew York, Denver, N. Virginia, Ohio, Oregon, Montreal
Europe and AfricaLondon, Frankfurt, Dublin, Paris, Stockholm, Johannesburg
Asia PacificSingapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Hyderabad

That’s a wider choice than most budget VPS providers offer. One tip: if you want the free backups, pick New York, Denver, Frankfurt or Hyderabad.

Support

Support is available 24/7 by live chat, tickets and phone. AccuWebHosting says its average first response to a ticket is under 11 minutes, and under 15 minutes for critical issues. Its help center has a large library of tutorials, and managed services are available if you’d rather have its team look after the server for you.

It’s important to understand what “support” means on a self-managed VPS. AccuWebHosting will keep the hardware and network running and help with problems on its side. Installing software, securing your server and fixing your own configuration are generally your job unless you pay for management or use a control panel that handles it.

Things to know before you sign up

  • Big renewal increases. Plans renew at about 2× to 4× the intro price, depending on the plan and billing term.
  • Only a 7-day money-back guarantee. Many shared hosts give 30 days or more, so test your server properly in the first week.
  • Not instant. After ordering you verify your email and phone with a one-time code. Standard delivery is within 24 hours, or within 4 hours with priority delivery.
  • Self-managed by default. You get root access and full control, but you’re responsible for the server unless you pay for managed services.
  • cPanel costs extra. Free panels are included, but cPanel and Plesk are paid add-ons.
  • Free backups only in four locations. Elsewhere, you’ll want to pay for daily backups or set up your own.
