The short version

HostNoc sells a lot of server for the money: its entry VPS gives you 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM, 300 GB of SSD storage and unmetered bandwidth for $12.75 a month, and the price per month is the same whether you pay monthly or yearly, so there’s no big renewal jump. The trade-offs are real, though: there are no refunds on VPS or dedicated servers, a $10 setup fee, extra monthly charges for US and Asia locations and Windows on monthly billing, and a thin, mixed review record. It’s a good fit for experienced users who want raw resources and flat pricing, and who keep their own backups.

Most budget VPS hosts lure you in with a tiny first-term price, then charge double or triple when you renew. HostNoc takes a different approach: modest, flat monthly prices with lots of CPU, memory and storage. That makes it interesting for anyone who has outgrown shared hosting and wants a server they can grow into.

It also has some rough edges you should know about before you pay. Here’s what HostNoc offers, what it really costs once you add the extras, and who it suits.

Who is HostNoc?

HostNoc (HostNoc, Inc.) has been selling hosting since 2018 and is based in Toronto, Canada. It focuses on servers rather than beginner web hosting: dedicated servers in cities like Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Paris, plus VPS hosting, Windows and Forex VPS, RDP servers, managed cloud hosting and DevOps services.

It has also added ready-made hosting for popular self-hosted apps, including n8n, Nextcloud, Coolify, WireGuard and DeepSeek, which tells you who its customers are: developers, agencies and businesses running their own software.

Prices in US dollars from HostNoc’s VPS page and checkout, checked November 3, 2026. HostNoc shows these as 25% off a higher list price. In the cart, the same price is charged on monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and yearly billing (the entry plan is $153 a year, exactly 12 × $12.75). Bandwidth is unmetered at the port speed listed.

Two things stand out. First, the resources are generous: even the entry plan has two vCPUs and 300 GB of storage, which is several times what most budget VPS plans include. The middle plans are especially strong on memory; HN-M gives you 24 GB of RAM for about $25 a month.

Second, you don’t have to prepay for years to get the good price. Paying monthly costs the same per month as paying yearly. That’s the opposite of most hosts, where the headline price only applies to a long first term and then jumps at renewal. Promotional prices are covered by HostNoc’s terms, so check the recurring amount on your first invoice.

Extra costs to know

The plan price isn’t always the full price. On monthly billing, HostNoc’s checkout adds:

  • A $10 setup fee on every billing cycle.
  • Server location: Germany is included; the UK is +$8, the US is +$10, and Singapore, Japan, India and Australia are +$15 a month.
  • Windows Server: +$10 a month for 2019, or +$15 for 2022 and 2025. Linux (Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux) is free.
  • Control panels: cPanel from $29.99 and Plesk from $30 a month.

So the entry plan on Windows, hosted in the US and paid monthly, comes to $37.75 a month plus the setup fee. That’s still decent for 4 GB of RAM and two vCPUs, but it’s nearly three times the headline price.

Interestingly, when we priced the yearly plan, HostNoc’s cart didn’t add the location or Windows fees at all: $153 for the year plus the $10 setup fee. If you plan to stay a year, it’s worth configuring your server on yearly billing and checking the total before you pay.

Other hosting types

Hosting typeStarts atGood for
Shared hosting$3.74/moSmall sites that don’t need a server
Managed cloud$11.25/mo (1 GB RAM, 1 CPU)People who want the server managed for them
VPS$12.75/moGrowing sites, apps, developers
Budget dedicated servers$27.95/moCheap dedicated hardware for light workloads
Performance dedicated servers$259.95/moHeavy workloads needing lots of cores and RAM

The dedicated server prices are very low, but look at the hardware. The cheapest server uses an Intel Atom C2750 with 16 GB of DDR3 RAM and a hard drive, and the high-end range includes older Xeon E5 v2 processors. That’s fine for backups, storage or light apps, but it’s older-generation kit. For most websites and apps, one of the bigger VPS plans will be faster than the cheapest dedicated server.

Features

  • Full root access to install and configure anything you want.
  • Linux or Windows: Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04 and 26.04, AlmaLinux 8 and 9, Rocky Linux 9 and 10, or Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025.
  • Managed or unmanaged: HostNoc offers both. Managed hosting adds updates, monitoring, backups and support; unmanaged gives you full control and the lowest price. Server management is also sold as separate plans.
  • Security: DDoS protection and firewalls.
  • Easy upgrades to more CPU, RAM and storage as you grow.
  • Migration help from its team when you move from another host.
  • App hosting for n8n, Nextcloud, Coolify, WireGuard and more.

One thing to note: HostNoc’s VPS plans use SSD storage, not NVMe. That’s plenty fast for most sites, but NVMe-based hosts can be quicker for busy databases.

Support and reputation

Support is available 24/7 by live chat, tickets and email, and you can book a call with sales. HostNoc says its average response time is about five minutes.

Its reputation is mixed. On Trustpilot, HostNoc has a 3.9 rating from 45 reviews. Most are five stars and praise the prices and support, but there are a few serious complaints from customers whose servers failed and who lost data. Trustpilot also notes there have been no new reviews in the last 12 months, so the picture is a little out of date.

The practical lesson applies to any budget server host: keep your own backups somewhere else. HostNoc’s terms make customers responsible for keeping a current backup of their data off its servers.

Things to know before you sign up

  • No refunds on VPS or dedicated servers. HostNoc’s 15-day money-back guarantee only covers shared and reseller hosting.
  • $10 setup fee on each new server.
  • Add-on fees on monthly billing for US, UK and Asia-Pacific locations and for Windows.
  • SSD, not NVMe, on VPS plans.
  • Older hardware on the cheapest dedicated servers.
  • Backups are your responsibility unless you pay for management.

Who is HostNoc a good fit for?

A good fit if you…

Pros
  • want lots of CPU, RAM and storage per dollar
  • hate renewal price jumps
  • want to pay monthly without a penalty
  • need unmetered bandwidth
  • run self-hosted apps like n8n or Nextcloud
  • can manage a server and your own backups

Look elsewhere if you…

Cons
  • want a money-back guarantee on a VPS
  • need a US server on a monthly plan at the headline price
  • want NVMe storage
  • want a beginner-friendly, fully managed host
  • put a lot of weight on recent reviews

Our take: HostNoc is a solid value pick for experienced users who want a powerful VPS at a flat monthly price, especially on its middle plans with lots of RAM. Go in knowing there’s no refund window, budget for the setup fee and any location or Windows charges, and keep off-site backups. Our verdict

HostNoc gives you more server for the money than most budget VPS hosts, with no renewal price shock and no need to prepay. The no-refund policy, extra fees and mixed reviews mean it’s best for people who know what they’re doing and keep their own backups.
